She-Wolf of London

1 9 9 0 – 1 9 9 1 (USA/UK)
14 x 60 minute episodes

Randi Wallace (Kate Hodge) is an adventurous Los Angeles graduate student interested in mythology and disproving the supernatural.

She relocates to England to do research on her thesis and begins classes at university under Dr Ian Matheson (Neil Dickson), a noted parapsychology professor and author of the books The Face of Fear and Satan’s Sex Slaves (a study of mythology).

Randi takes a room at the Matheson Bed and Breakfast Inn, which is run by Ian’s parents, but while doing research on the Yorkshire Moors, Randi is attacked and bitten by a werewolf named Pltak (Peter Lee Wilson).

Though she has deep scratches on the right side of her face, she appears to be recovering normally. But the first full moon brings about a dramatic change as the beautiful student becomes a hideous werewolf.

When daylight breaks and she returns to her normal self, Randi asks Ian for help. He gradually becomes her love interest.

Stories relate to Randi and Ian’s involvement with supernatural creatures as they seek a cure for Randi.

On nights when the moon is full, Ian locks her in a cell in the basement of his parents’ B&B.

When the UK backers (HTV International) pulled out of this American/British co-production, shooting moved to the US and the series underwent format and cast changes and was renamed Love and Curses.
