Premiering in October 1959, this half-hour syndicated crime show starred Keith Andes as Frank Dawson, a former Marine Corps colonel who took over a big city police department.
The incorruptible police chief enforced the law without fear or favour and was bent on wiping out organised crime.
William Conrad and Elliott Lewis produced the show for ZIV TV. Conrad also narrated.
Keith Andes died on 11 November 2005, aged 85. He had suffered from bladder cancer and other ailments for some time. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office ruled his death a suicide by asphyxiation.
