These stories of a game hunter in East Africa were filmed in the UK (edited with stock footage from Africa) and broadcast in black and white.

John Hunter (Rhodes Reason) worked on behalf of the Game Commissioner to ensure the animals were protected from unscrupulous characters who hunted them outside the limits of the law.

He also found himself mixed up with murder investigations, search parties, movie crews on location, narcotics smugglers, rival hunters, tribal disputes, uranium prospectors, truck hijackings, bubonic plague, witch doctors, assassins and hitmen.

Harry Baird played his gun bearer, Atimbu.
