39 x 30 minute episodes
An ITV series of action/drama detective stories based on the actual files of the William J.Burns international detective agency.
39 x 30-minute episodes were made, directed by Eddie Sutherland and featuring 6’3″ American TV and radio personality Arthur Fleming as Ken Franklin, a former police detective turned private investigator.
Ken was not one to sit back and let others do the work. He was also more than happy to have a violent confrontation if it meant getting what he needed, although he hardly ever carried a gun and preferred to solve crimes by brainwork, coolly and methodically.
He also knew good wines, enjoyed good food, was interested in art, chess and bridge, spoke several languages and was a good all-round athlete.
Several famous London landmarks were used for location shooting, including Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Parliament Square, the Thames Embankment and the Royal Albert Hall, as well as several Continental locations.
