This half-hour limited-run Cold War sitcom from CBS revolved around young American Olympic athlete Phyllis Wilson (Murphy Cross) who falls in love with Mikhail ‘Mikhy’ Orlov (Rick Lohman with an atrocious Russian accent), an Olympic athlete from the Soviet Union.
Mikhy defects to marry Phyl, though he is constantly followed by an innocuous KGB agent, Vladimir Gimenko (Michael Pataki), tasked with bringing him back to the Soviet Union.
The couple are forced to live with Phyl’s father, Max (Larry Haines) – the track coach at Pacific Western University (Pac West U for short) – and much of the comedy in the series arises from the conflict between Max, his new son-in-law and KGB agent Gimenko.
