The Foxwoods live on a group of small asteroids covered in farmland. Sam Foxwood, his wife Lizzie and their son, Tom, live in a small cottage with their pet dog, Dinko, and travel around their farm asteroids in their astro-tractor. They have a different asteroid for each crop.
Animal characters include Daisy – the big pink moo (a cow) – and a flock of blue chickens called Clucks.
The atmosphere on the asteroid is artificial and controlled by a weather machine in the cottage.
The Gorps – Splodger and Biff – are two lazy, miscreant brothers who live on a nearby asteroid called Gorpdale, which is permanently dark and wet.
They frequently steal food and generally cause trouble at the Foxwood farm.
The stop-animation claymation series was produced by FilmFair for Central Independent Television.
Blue Peter‘s Tina Heath provided the voices of Lizzie and Tom.
