Premiering on Wednesday 8 May 1968, the 10-week ATV series It Must be Dusty presented pop singer Dusty Springfield with musical guests including Jimi Hendrix, Donovan, Kiki Dee, Manfred Mann, Scott Walker, The Spinners, Georgie Fame, The Tremeloes, Esther and Abi Ofarim and Julie Felix.

Jack Parnell and his orchestra provided the musical backing.

Directed by Michael Kent and produced by Colin Clews, the show was eventually moved to Thursday nights.
