Premiering on Friday 21 January 1994, this late-night BBC Scotland series for BBC2 presented sharp, topical comedy with Scottish comedian Craig Ferguson bringing his unique brand of humour to a series of monologues taking a wry look at the modern world.
He was assisted in comic sketches by Jonathan Watson, Louise Beattie, Grant Smeaton, Ross Stenhouse and Jonathan Kydd.
Ferguson moved to Los Angeles in November 1994 and appeared in the short-lived ABC comedy Maybe This Time with Marie Osmond. He went on to a recurring role on The Drew Carey Show, playing the title character’s boss, Mr Wick.
Ferguson succeeded Craig Kilborn on CBS’s The Late Late Show in January 2005 and hosted the show until 2014. He went on to host Celebrity Name Game, which earned him Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game Show Host in 2015 and 2016.
